Scope
Send the intended dimensions, wall or room photographs, preferred palette, timeline, working budget, and examples of my existing paintings that interest you.
Commissioning a painting should not require faith in smoke, velvet curtains, or mysterious invoices. We establish the size, direction, budget, and boundaries before the work begins, while leaving enough room for an original painting to remain alive.
Commissions are developed from the visual language of my existing work rather than copied from another artist or manufactured to match a sofa cushion with military obedience. The goal is a work that belongs in your space and still belongs to my practice.

I provide a written quote, estimated schedule, surface and finish information, and—when useful—a palette study, sketch, or simple placement mockup.
A 50% non-refundable deposit secures the project and covers initial materials. One planned progress update is included so major concerns can be addressed before final finishing.
After final photographs and approval, the remaining balance is due. The work is finished, documented, and prepared for Austin pickup, arranged local delivery, or shipping quoted for the specific piece.
Most small- and medium-format paintings require roughly four to eight weeks after the deposit, depending on surface preparation, drying and curing time, varnish, revision, and the current studio schedule. The written proposal controls when a particular project differs.
No exact replicas. A commission may draw from the palette, scale, rhythm, or formal language of an existing work, but the finished painting will be its own object.
Yes. Inquiries from interior designers, offices, hospitality spaces, and other professional clients are welcome. I can provide dimensions, palette information, mockups, documentation, and a project-specific quote. Any trade terms are established in writing rather than advertised as a blanket promise.
Austin pickup is preferred. Local delivery may be arranged depending on size and location. Shipping is evaluated case by case after the finished dimensions, weight, destination, and packing requirements are known.
Those details let me give you a useful answer instead of performing interpretive dance around the word “depends.”
