Clients are often intimidated by the idea of commissioning art. They assume it's a mystical process with unpredictable outcomes and hidden costs. Let us disabuse you of that notion. Here is exactly how we go from your vision to a finished piece on your wall.
How We Work
Whether you are an interior designer looking for a specific visual anchor for a client, or a collector wanting a piece tailored to your personal space, the studio operates on total transparency. No mystery meat, no surprise invoices.
Start the ConversationThe Consultation
We discuss your space, preferred colors, dimensions, and which of my previous works you are drawn to. You provide photos of the wall. I provide a concrete quote and timeline.
Proposal & Deposit
I present a digital mock-up, sketch, or color palette study. Upon your approval, a 50% non-refundable deposit secures your spot in my studio schedule and covers initial materials.
The Execution
I return to the studio. You will receive one mid-point progress update to ensure we are aligned visually. Minor adjustments can be made at this stage without issue.
Delivery & Install
Upon final studio approval and receipt of the remaining balance, the artwork is varnished, securely crated, and shipped (or locally installed in the Austin area).
Details & Logistics
What is the typical timeline?
Depending on the scale of the piece and my current studio schedule, a standard commission takes between 4 to 8 weeks from the date the deposit is received. Murals and large-scale site-specific installations require custom timelines.
Do you work with interior designers?
Absolutely. I regularly collaborate with the trade to provide custom visual anchors for residential and commercial spaces. Trade pricing is available upon request with a valid Resale Certificate or proof of business.
How is shipping handled?
Local delivery and installation within the Austin, TX area can be arranged. For national and international collectors, large works are professionally crated and shipped via freight. Shipping costs are calculated and included in your initial quote so there are no surprises.
